Hockey Bags

If you play hockey, you have to have a way to carry all your equipment. You need a bag. Actually, you need a tough, durable bag. If you play field hockey, you probably need two bags: one hockey bag to hold your personal equipment called a “kit” bag, one to carry the sticks, a “stick” bag. You might even need a third if you are the goalie. Grays Ultima Field Hockey bag, especially the G500 carries several sticks.

Hockey equipment bags come in all sizes, shapes and colors. They have more pockets, increased durability and more options than the earlier versions of hockey equipment bags. Eagle offers Pro Player bags for intermediate and senior players. The Eagle hockey bag sold as an intermediate Pro Player bag comes in regular or custom colors and offers as optional telescopic handle and wheel. CCM wheeled hockey bags are also available. In field hockey, try TK team wheeled bags.

Wheeled hockey bags are becoming more common. A hockey equipment bag may also have several sections or compartments for storage of different items. This prevents wrinkling, crushing and mutilation of different equipment. The compartment system also makes it easier for you to locate quickly different things.

There are also specialized equipment bags. Some are specifically for ice hockey, others for inline hockey, still others for lacrosse or field hockey. A hockey goalie bag is designed to hold the goalie’s equipment. A field hockey bag can be restricted to transporting sticks or other equipment. There is also a field hockey goalie bag.

Skates frequently have their own bags. Companies have designed several different types to address the shape and purpose of different skates. Some bags hold roller skates, others figure or ice hockey skates, still others goalie skates.

There are many companies on the market selling hockey bags. RBK makes a line of ice hockey bags. RBK hockey bags include the RBK Deluxe and the RBK Basic. Louisville TP and Mission also are major producers of equipment bags. Mission even retails what they call an Elite Duffel Bag. CCM hockey bags incorporate the Vector V3.0 and het Vector 6.0. Field Hockey bags are manufactured under the Gray name. The Ultima G500 contains up to eight sticks. Gray also offers its buyers several options including a pink hockey bag. Other field hockey gear manufacturers are Dita, Slazenger, Gryphon Kookaburra and Malik. They produce kit, stick and combination stick-kit bags.

When in doubt, you can always purchase the all-purpose, no particular specialty, type of bag. You can buy these from such companies as Adidas and Reebok.
