Mission Skates

Mission is a company recognized for their innovative hockey skates. Mission skates, particularly the Pure S500 Carbon hockey skates, feature a composite side panel insert and composite outer sole for lateral support and stability. It has a three setting adjustable blade holder constructed from Dupont nylon with stainless steel bolts. Both the blade holder and the laser cut stainless steel blade are replaceable. Mission hockey skates, such as the Fuel 110 XP are extremely light increasing your speed with every stride. The high-powered Fuel AG (short for agility) line addresses issues of finesse; the Fuel XP caters to power.

Mission ice skates youth price are at the expensive end. Price for a Pure S500 Carbon hockey skate is approximately $450.00. One writer refers to it as Mission’s new “flagship.” It does appear to boast everything from a lightweight to a pitch holder. The Fuel 95XP is at the opposite end of the spectrum. It is the least expensive Mission skate sharing top -level Mission skate features.

Mission skates are a rarity in one way. Mission has developed a standard sizing lacking among most of its competitors. A size 13 youth skate size equates with a size 13 shoe size. A size 16 adult skate size is the same as a size 16 adult shoe.

Yet, many do not specifically know Mission for their ice skates. In 2003, Mission created a series of outdoor skates. According to one Mission roller skate review, the R series Mission roller hockey skate is rugged, dependable and comfortable. The release of the Helium series in 2005 cemented their promise of reliable indoor and outdoor inline hockey skates.

Mission inline skates and Mission inline hockey skates, sold under the models Helium and Wicked, are popular skates for outdoor play and serious leaguers. The Mission inline hockey skate such as Helium 500 is perfect for parking lot, city park and driveway games. Wicked 5, 2007, one Mission inline hockey skate, combines great features and design. Mission Violator inline skates are another reason people recognize Mission for its inline skates. Some consider it the number one brand in roller hockey. Mission old school skates and modern innovations have made the company a popular choice.

One of the essential reasons for their success is their choice in wheels. Until recently, Mission skates featured Labeda wheels. With the Helium 550, Mission used Factory Halo wheels. In both instances, however, the Mission skate wheel size conforms to the formula High/Low. The front wheels sit lower than the rear. A common size is 72mm for the front wheels and 80mm for the back. The result, for Mission, is a very uncommon inline or roller skate.
